Indo Defence 2024 Ready to Launch, Driving Growth in the Defence Economy

Jakarta, 4 June 2025 – The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Indonesia held a press gathering today as part of the final preparations for the Indo Defence 2024 Expo & Forum, which is scheduled to take place from 11 to 14 June 2025 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

Carrying the theme “Defence Partnerships for Global Peace & Stability”, Indo Defence 2024 highlights the importance of collaboration and defence cooperation among nations to foster global peace and stability. As one of the world’s largest defence industry exhibitions, the event serves as a strategic platform to strengthen both bilateral and multilateral ties in the defence sector.

This event will be a strategic showcase for the growth of the global defence economy, bringing together stakeholders from around the world in a comprehensive forum. The 10th edition of the Indo Defence 2024 Expo & Forum is projected to host 1.180 exhibitors from 55 countries who have confirmed their participation. The high level of enthusiasm from participants strongly indicates that this exhibition is a crucial moment for Indonesia to showcase its domestic defence industry products while strengthening partnerships with global allies.

DEFENDID, Indonesia’s defence industry holding company, which includes PT Len Industri (Persero), PT Dahana, PT Dirgantara Indonesia, PT Pindad, and PT PAL Indonesia, will also present leading innovations by Indonesian talent.

PT Len Industri (Persero) will showcase its Ground Controlled Interception (GCI) Radar, while PT Dahana will exhibit the P-100L / P-250L / P-500L bomb series. PT Dirgantara Indonesia is set to feature the CN235 special mission aircraft, and PT Pindad will unveil the Maung MV3 Electric Tactical Vehicle (MorinoEV). Meanwhile, PT PAL Indonesia will present a 140-meter Frigate, fully built by Indonesian engineers and shipbuilders.

The Indo Defence 2024 Expo & Forum will feature a variety of supporting events, including the Defence Technology Forum on 12 June 2025, which will comprise three sessions: Asymmetric Warfare Technology, Advancement in Cyber Warfare, and Innovation in Dismounted Soldier Systems.

In addition, the Technical Product Presentation (TPP) will take place over three days (11–13 June 2025) across four sector-specific theatres—Land, Naval, Air, and Cyber Security—offering exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their products and innovations directly to a broader audience.

As part of the main event, the Indo Defence Open Stage Forum will also be held throughout the four-day exhibition, highlighting strategic topics such as National MRO Capacity & Capability, the role of the N219 aircraft in enhancing regional connectivity, AI-powered aviation supply chains by MetaBrain, and cybersecurity awareness.

Moreover, the Indo Defence 2024 Expo & Forum is open to the public, providing the general audience with a valuable opportunity to gain deeper insights into the latest developments in the defence industry and technologies.

The postponement of Indo Defence 2024, which was initially scheduled for last year, was a strategic decision aimed at ensuring comprehensive preparation. This adjustment was made todeliver amore high-quality and innovative exhibition that benefits all participants and stakeholders. With more robust planning, Indo Defence 2024 is expected to be come a globally competitive exhibition and make a significant contribution to the advancement of the defence industry both nationally and internationally.

The press gathering held in the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika room was attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Defence, including the Vice Minister of Defence, the Inspector General of the Ministry of Defence, and the Acting Director General of Defence Potential.

The presence of these key decision-makers reflects the government’s strong commitment to advancing the national defence industry through defence diplomacy and the promotion of cutting-edge, locally developed technologies.
